INOKEA BASENJI   

I first saw the Basenji at our local dog show and fell in love with the breed.

During my research to ensure this was the right breed for me, I began my search for a puppy and contacted a reputable breeder.  In 2007 I was proud to own my first Basenji named 'Klassic's Diamonds Are Forever' aka Ayira (Ah-yee-rah) african for 'The Chosen One'.  Bitten by the dog show world, I began showing Ayira at AKC sanctioned puppy matches at 4mos old and continue to own/handle my own show-quality AKC-registered Basenji's.

Because the basenji has a reputation of being stubborn, I chose the kennel name Inokea (i-no-k-ah) local hawaiian which means: I DON'T CARE, I do what I want.
